i work at a small coffee shop, and judging by this list i should probably find a new job before i go completely insane.

  • work relationships
  • really nice, sweet, patient customers

  • working with michael on counter (dream team)
  • when we're really slow and i get sent home early
  • may 15th: the day Danny became my new boss :')
    • he never puts me in the underdog because he knows how much i hate it and how it stresses me out

  • my intimidating boss (curtis)
  • when curtis takes advantage of me because i can't say no
  • co-workers who don't give a shit
  • getting sworn at by curtis
  • when curtis rolls his eyes at me
  • rude customers
  • making milkshakes, especially in the middle of winter
  • never having weekends off
  • getting asked to come in early a lot
  • getting asked to stay late a lot
  • occasionally getting asked to come in on my days off
  • curtis never thanking me for all the extra time i put in
  • when co-workers don't show up for whatever reason and i end up having to pick up their slack (happens too often)
  • the fact that i had to have a complete breakdown in front of curtis before he realized how over-worked i was
  • creepy old men that hit on me
  • working almost every holiday
  • the occasional 10 hour work day
  • even worse- the occasional 12 hour work day
  • working too many days in a row and my boss not giving two shits about how tired i am (my record is 12 days)
  • very short breaks
  • one break per shift, even during 12 hour shifts
  • smokers getting 937123 breaks (unfair!)
  • making apple fritters
  • the fact that we have to wear aprons
  • brown t-shirts are required... ew
  • can't share secrets with a co-worker because EVERYONE will find out
  • answering the phone
  • having to track down curtis when he leaves
  • extremely hot inside and therefore sweaty
  • getting burned with hot oil from the deep fryer
  • having to make funnel cakes
  • when it gets really busy and curtis gets stressed
  • when the schedule gets changed last minute
  • only knowing the schedule one week at a time
  • curtis expecting my life to revolve around work
  • curtis getting mad when i ask for time off, even though i almost never ever ask for it
  • when dishes pile up
  • having to explain the same thing a thousand times a day
  • absolutely stupid, moronic people
