star drop & variations
catcher's hang w double thigh wrap, tail goes across belly & around back
hold tail w opposite arm as hooked knee, unhook knee & post foot on silk, side crunch up into star shape & drop
or: tail goes across belly, around back, & in front of opposite shoulder as hooked knee, climb up over hooked knee, hold pole w same side arm as the knee u hooked, hold tail to yr side w other arm, hold star shape & drop. u will go into a slow cartwheel & then a faster star drop
or: climb up over hooked knee, get the fabric in yr crotch & hold the pole behind you & the tail in front. pike as u drop forward, then star into the cartwheel & star drop
infinity salto
windmill hip key, swivel legs around the silk so it is in front of you coming out from b/w yr legs, swim under the tail, put yr top knee through the space b/w the pole n yr body, grab onto the tail w a straight arm, engage yr legs & fall forward. grab the pole as u come up, thread yr knee thru again to repeat
salto from rebecca split
dancer lock on 1 foot, get into position for rebecca split but instead of crocheting the leg, hook yr knee over the knot. get the tail behind u & in the opposite armpit going back over yr shoulder. sit up & climb over yr knee, getting the fabric in yr crotch. hold the pole over yr head w 1 hand & the tail to the side w yr other. the drop will get u into position for belay entrance #3
360 drop
split silk invert, crochet legs, cross 2x behind back. lower yr legs into a frog & put each tail over the same side knee, inside to outside. crochet legs again. get the tails in front of yr shoulders. bend knees and sit up in the seat. take the tails off yr shoulders and double or triple wrap them around each leg. move yr torso in front of the poles & drop, putting yr arms in a t so u don't go thru the door
spill the tea drop
from a hip key, straddle n hook yr bottom knee on the silk. wrap the tail around yr torso and then around yr free leg 3 times. grab the tail by yr ankle & quickly unhook then rehook the top knee
yeet drop
from the last drop, sit up & climb over yr knee. option 1 is to keep the 3 wraps on yr leg, move the pole behind u so yr thonging the fabric, & fall forward
option 2 is to take 2 of the wraps off so yr left w 1, go into a hip key onto the leg that wasn't wrapped, grab the tail w yr bottom arm, & yeet it hard thru the space bw the pole n yr body as u let go & drop. u can also think of it as yeeting the tail over yr opposite shoulder. to be clear, u r holding on to the tail for the entire drop
tick tock drop
same as 360 drop til the point where u sit up in yr seat. instead of wrapping the tails around yr legs, just grab em at yr sides w a slight angle upward, then fall back n forward like a belay drop. tuck up into a bird's nest to undo the cross on yr back
back dive
from a locked s-wrap, take yr bottom foot n post it up against the farther side of the pole, foot flexed. put yr top knee thru the door bw the pole n yr other leg, n hook yr knee over the front of the silk.
move the tail to the same side hip as yr hooked knee. reach above yr knee n sit up into yr seat. let the tail go in bw yr legs. take the tail from the inside of yr leg, over the top of yr leg, n hold it out to the side (same side as originally hooked knee). fall back n it will take u in a circle so u can grab the pole behind u as u come back up
salto from hanging backbend
from 2 climbs up, windmill hip key, then wrap the free ends of the silk around yr bottom leg 3x. put yr torso thru the door n twist around so yr hanging in a backbend. hook yr free knee over both poles, reach up, & get the fabric in yr crotch w both arms above n behind u on the poles. drop forward w arms in a t
yeet drop 2: electric boogaloo
from 1 climb up, invert but w the tail between yr legs (usually known as the "wrong" position). hook 1 knee & wrap the tail 2x around yr other thigh like a star drop prep. unhook the knee & sit up, settling into the thigh wrap.
take the leg u hooked earlier n move it under the tail so the tail sits across yr lap on both thighs. fold over into a hip key so u can get the tail across yr lower back. sit up again n cross the tail past the pole on the side farther from u. lay back n hang in a pose.
hook the knee u originally hooked over the pole again. climb up n over the knee, then hip key over it. grab yr tail n yeet it into the space between the pole n yr body as u let go
