bank statements: fast food restaurants, grocery stores (typically small amounts at a time), atm withdrawals, vending machines, laundromats, taxis. sometimes he would ship something expensive in the mail, pay for a people finding service, or pay a lot for flowers
non-employment income: social security checks and, for a bit, deposits from a nonprofit for adults with mental illness called coyote task force
health: diagnosed and medicated for paranoid schizophrenia and depression, implied to have type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol based on other meds, anecdotally had a stroke and a drinking problem, may have had another health issue that caused him to lose a lot of weight. oddly, the medical examiner's office listed his weight as 97 but the funeral home listed it as 111. wonder why that was, since a 14 lb discrepancy is kind of a lot
blue notebook: listing appointments and contacts mostly for social services, therapy, and scientific endeavors; therapy notes; science notes; grant and proposal info; job leads; passages in chinese; sought a civil rights lawyer at one point
red notebook: housing leads and permutations of an address in california with numbers and street/city names switched around, like he was trying to remember an address? none of them showed up on google maps though. so who or what was he trying to locate?
rope interest: in 2010, exhibited an interest in purchasing teflon multifilament yarn, heavy duty thread, and steel tubing. appeared to purchase a clothesline, two 50-ft polypropylene ropes (one glow-in-the-dark), and one 10-ft polyester rope. also filled a couple pages with calculations related to rope filaments
housing: seemed to change addresses every year or two; may have spent time in a homeless shelter during the pandemic. lots of money order stubs for rent. in aug 2023 came close to getting evicted for not paying full rent too many times but it looks like he was able to scrape the money together last minute
cards: id, debit, social security, state health insurance, ebt, library, suntran, u of a computer lab, fry's, walgreen's, cvs, laundromat, child support payment address, business cards (defense lawyer, congressional aide, account/applications manager at toray fluorofibers)
usb drive: two copies of his cv only
email: he seemed to make a new one every year? wonder why that was
