- midnight fight express ✧ 5/5 | just sick in every way, i love the music and style, big ruiner / hotline miami vibes. there's so many features and mechanics without sacrificing polish, the love that went into this game really shows.
- frog detective ✧ 3/5 | cute art style and sometimes funny dialogue, otherwise lacks content, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. i played it while talking to friends and they voice acted it for me which made it more entertaining. i think it would be great for a younger audience.
- pentiment ✧ 4/5 | a point-and-click story starring an artist in medieval times. the charming characters make this game for me, and there's a level of detail and intention to the way it portrays history, theology, and art that kept me interested despite the slow pacing. also you can pet all the cats and dogs you see. good for the soul.
- metal: hellsinger ✧ 5/5 | a metal rhythm fps, one of the coolest games i've ever played. beautiful graphics and character design, exciting gameplay and good music. wouldn't change a thing, but probably not worth full price considering its playtime.
- quake ✧ 4/5 | weirdly feels like an honor to play one of the grandfathers of my favourite genre. i'm not sure how much it's changed since release but it doesn't feel clunky at all. also nin's involvement makes me love this game even more. piece of gaming history right here and fun to play despite its simplicity.
- doom eternal ✧ 4/5 | playing this game after quake immediately gave me the impression that this is quake but insanely souped up and with sick music (it's doom, so... obviously). ammo management was kind of a downer for me because i suck at it, but overall a cool fast paced RIP AND TEAAR experience.
- citizen sleeper ✧ 4/5 | cyberpunk tabletop-esque roleplaying game. a lot of reading, interesting characters and a nice art style / atmosphere. i wish there was more music, and i wouldn't pay full price considering playtime.
- fallout: new vegas ✧ 4/5 | pure atomic era dystopian americana, a quintessential roleplaying game. needs modding to bring it up to speed with modern games, which is to be expected for a 10 year old game. easy for me to pick up considering my experience with skyrim.
