- the real bling ring: hollywood heist ★★★☆☆ nick and alexis contradicting each other at every turn... great to hear from them though and gives a new perspective on their stories
- ↻ game of thrones ➀ through ➇ on a rewatch i realized i disliked more things about the show than i remembered (mostly how often they exploit their female actresses), but the fantastic story and world building still holds up (thanks grrm!)

- house of the dragon ➀ ★★★★☆ i read someone describe this show as better than the latter half of game of thrones but worse than the first half and i agree. the existence of this show sort of contradicts the purpose of the intertwining narratives in 'fire and blood,' but i am just fascinated with the concept. the soundtrack is beautiful, rhaenyra's theme, 'fate of the kingdoms,' and 'the green dress' are standouts. but it's not a surprise, i always love ramin's work. some of the story beats would have been more clear and effective if the time skip was delivered a bit better in my opinion. the way we get one scene with crab man and miss out on a lot of big parts seemed a bit jarring to me. i think they should have stretched some moments out more. because of the show's structure, we don't get to see as much 'small moments' that made game of thrones so enjoyable, but there are still some great scenes. i think the toned down nudity is so much better, as well. there is still major themes of sex and exploitation but the way it has been done here proved even more so that gratuitous nudity (to the point where it seemed to go back on its own message) was never needed all along. can people stop saying rhaenyra and daemon are their dream couple though? are people forgetting he groomed her? anyways alicent x rhaenyra is my happy place! also why in the world did they not give the show a new theme? i love the idea of using old music in a related property (e.g., how the zelda games repurpose older tracks is my favorite thing in the world) so i don't know why they didn't interweave the original theme into a new one because that would still act to preserve it. the title sequence with the blood is great symbolism, though. the actors are brilliant and i'm looking forward to see more from them. i criticize because i love it.

- you ➃ ★★☆☆☆ there has been a noticeable quality decrease since season 3 but i was especially disappointed with some of the writing this season. splitting it up into two parts was also a strange choice and didn't add to the story, seemed like an afterthought. the only thing that was interesting was the twist and i do really like that they went for that route

- abbott elementary ➁ ★★★☆☆ season 1 was much better, what was THAT scene between janine and gregory and then they're pretending they're too nervous to kiss
