  • something about this movie left me feeling so very lonely. it left me raining, pouring all over myself. i'm still finding out exactly what it means to me.
• aquaman (2019) [movies w/ let + her bf!] on jan 14th
  • it was GOOD. jason almost made me tear up (in my panties bitch!). some of the fight scenes were fantastic, specially that one where nicole kidman's character just fucking DESTROYS the tiny army atlantis sent to take her back. also love how the female characters aren't weak, they're strong and they always have something to say. an opinion. an observation. an explanation!!! love how they talked about the sea polution. the sea killing. and love how they touched a bit of evolution also. god, the scenes in italy were pure beauty. absolutely stunning the kings scene, where they both find out how to get to their destination. EVEN BETTER was when mera was rescued by... ARTHUR'S MOTHER!!! i got so many chiils during that part. what stood out to me really was mera. i fell HARD for her, ngl. she was classy, beautiful, sweet, kind AND UNDERSTANDING. i wasn't even mad that she and arthur got together at the end. the hair kiss was really sweet. and uh, something she said, about not doing what your heart wishes but doing what is RIGHT? peak knowledge! gonna keep that one with me for a long time.

  • i'm gonna be honest. i cried a LOT!!! it's such a pure movie with such an important message i teared up and i'm glad i did! wes just nails everything he does, huh? the colors, the takes, the writing, the editing, the directing, the music, THE ACTORS, the STORY... everything was so on point i'm definetly watching again for the details!!! what a beautiful movie. and isle of dogs, i love dogs too.

  • the type of life i'm tryna live bitch! everything was so pure, so quiet, so REAL. i honestly love it and i'd love to live like her someday!!! it's beautiful and it left me wanting more but i'm not exactly what.
• away we go (2009) [in my bedroom, "with" ana] on 11/2
  • it was actually a rewatch because i watched it on sunday. but it's such a heart warming movie!!! maya is my star, ahhhhh. and john? he's everything to me. the two of them make such a perfect duo it's insane. this movie honestly felt like a soft, caring 2h long hug! the kinda hug i needed and didn't know of.
• a quiet place (2018) [ana's rec! liveb the whole thing with her. my room, late at night] on 5/3
  • everything was so detailed. every single touch made so much sense, every little thing had such GREAT meaning throughout the movie... i'm still amazed at emily and john's performance. gotta give the kids A LOT of credit too, my heart clenched every time one of them cried. i honestly loved it. the story is simply wonderful and i'd LOVE to know more about those monsters. also!!! the photography was insanely good!!!

  • ok the movie was pretty bad. i couldn't understand exactly what they were doing and the writing was weird. but brie saved the entire film!!! a lesbian icon we do deserve!!!! i honestly fell in love with her right away, i kept smiling like an idiot :(
