• The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
  • "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins
  • Mental: "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg... We are creatures of habits and habits form unconsciously. At the end of the day we don't even realize our own habits. This is a great book to understand how habits work and can be changed.
  • Business: "Good to Great" by Jim Collins ... This is an ABSOLUTELY MUST!!! Has changed the way I look and each every professional I met has read this book.
  • Also another great book I just read, "Disrupt You!" by Jay Samit. Definitely another must in this technological world and also learning how to disrupt yourself.
  • Choose Yourself
  • Reinvent Yourself' by James Altucher.
  • Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins
  • 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
  • 6 Pillars of Self Esteem
  • "How to Have a Good Day" By Caroline Webb. VERY powerful stuff on how to get control of your emotions and become a stronger and more organized person overall
  • I've been reading some very effective self-help books, like Dr. Burns' 'Feeling Good' and 'Intimate Connections,' about depression and social anxiety. I'm pretty good at making friends and socializing generally, and I'm not horrifically unattractive either, so I'm very certain my lack of an SO stems from projecting a very anxious air whenever I'm interested in someone, thus chasing them away. I have anxiety and depression issues including some pretty serious OCD, so I also took matters into my own hands and made an appointment with a psychiatrist. Seeking help was scary, but worth it.
  • 1) being alone ≠ loneliness--there is no shame in being alone if you enjoy one-person activities (which I genuinely do, I just felt ashamed of being alone)
  • 2) the more obsessed you are about SOs the more anxious you get, the less likely you'll attract someone
  • 3) fill your life with things that are non-SO-hunting related: no compulsive Googling of sad EliteDaily articles, no obsessive checking of Tinder, no meeting people with the express motivation to figure out if they're datable or not.
