✦⸻ disclaimer

To save us all the headache, I've adopted the ISO 8601 standard for dates in this listography. If you see something that doesn't follow it, it's probably written in 2024. Chronological lists tend to go in reverse order; the first item is the most recent one.

✦⸻ how do I organize my life?

In light of the new year (2025), this is something I found myself wondering a few days ago. What's my system? What tools do I use to track what? Here's what I came up with.

  • listography ▸ Lists of all sorts, most media tracking, wishlists, scattered thoughts, ideas, writing, bookmarking websites and resources, long-term to-do lists.
  • librarything & bookshelf.town ▸ LibraryThing for cataloguing owned, read and tbr books; bookshelf.town for the fun of it.
  • daily to do list (paper) ▸ a physical reminder for the day is always good.

✦⸻ entwined use

  • ticktick ▸ For work deadlines, pomodoros, personal appointments, daily to-do list. I pay an annual fee for the premium version and honestly it's the best tool I've tested so far for personal productivity.
  • analog datebook ▸ appointments, work schedule, classes, birthdays, celebrations, notes, daily, weekly and monthly to-do lists.

✦⸻ do I need all of these?

Yes. Mostly because of ADHD; repeating appointments on paper (analog datebook) and having different reminders in different places actually help.
