another one of your average list of new years resolutions

  • get healthy- just about the most cliche, popular resolution, but then again why shouldn't it be? we all owe it to ourselves to live a healthier, and more whole life. for me, this includes more fresh organic veggies, fruits, more juicing! less processed junk!
    • read/learn more about foods and how best to reap nutrients and benefits
    • like i said, more juicing! make it a daily habit. and perhaps add a little food combining to the list too.
    • stop relying on medicine. no more reaching for advil every time i get a little headache going. learn alternatives to dealing with discomfort.
    • no more drinking soda. period.
    • and of course-- excercise. make stretching in the morning a daily habit as well some sort of physical activity during the day-- yoga, jump roping, hula hooping, jogging. also run a timed mile at least once a month. this may be pushing it, but also maybe learn how to dance...
  • learn to let go. let things be and stop taking myself so seriously. endless scrutiny of ones self and life in general does not help anyone and certainly does not make the world any brighter. practice honesty and forgiveness. don't be afraid to let others know how you feel. this includes showing your gratitude- its nothing to hide!
  • read! at least one book a month. there is so much to learn and so little time.. don't forget that when caught up in daily, routine living.
    • in addition to outside reading, read the goddamn book assigned for class! you know its interesting so stop being so lazy and just read it.
  • create! through music, craft, art, writing...
    • but mostly through music and craft.. keep practicing the guitar and uke. master those stupid barred chords and learn different strumming patterns. also keep crocheting new things and learn new stiches.
  • conserve money and resources. stop buying clothing unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. whether used, new, on sale, think 5 times before purchasing useless things.
