activities and tips that i've witnessed that are worth remembering

  • jack and the beanstalk story/play
    • take students outside, form small groups. have them all "be" jack.
    • set up scenes, eg; house and marketplace, have students rotate through
    • additional fun stuff: have students walk the lines of the court. if they misbehave, send them to the end.
    • spy game: one by one, students cross over, hiding behind columns and trees from the giants. if seen, they're "caught" and held captive.
