• i got my period when i was 9 years old. thus, i have been bleeding monthly for 13 years.
• i own two scars. the one on my right knee was when i fell as a kindergardner in texas visiting my grandmother, and the other is when i was running up the stairs and fell at my grandfather's house to call 911 after my dad was hit by a car (while he was in a car himself).
• my parents are still married.
• i still know all the phone numbers to all the houses i grew up in.
• i have been the same height since fifth grade (5'5").
• i was supposed to be named catalina, but my dad dated a girl named cathy, and my mom thought it was too similar.
• my dad wanted to name my brother jack daniel (the latter my dad's name), and my mom was for it until she found out it was a whisky brand.
• i never had a pet as a child; my mom is allergic to animal hair.
• nearly everyone in my family is named after a biblical character except for me and a few others.
• i don't know how to ride a bike, rollerblade, drive a car, skateboard, or swim. i do know how to roller skate and ice skate decently. my friends gave me a driving lesson and my old RA staff taught me how to ride a bike last summer.
• i once considered becoming a hand model; my nails grow to decent lengths and i have good skin.
• i ran track and cross-country, and also played basketball before turning in my trainers in lieu of leadership and academic responsibilities. my brother gained the athletic tendencies in the family.
• i am grateful for my family and friends who are family; i am fiercely loyal about people and always have been.
