this list first made july 2006.
- we waited forever for one to come
- we made sweet videos in the mean time
- the bus driver greeted us with a loud "howdy" when it did come
- he continued to greet every person who came on the bus loudly and sort of abrasively
- he would announce stops as "here we go!!!!" or "we're HERE!!!!!"
- there was a guy we thought was clapping his hands, but turned out he was slapping his bald head...loudly...and in tune? and he looked like a perfectly normal transport-user?
- the bus driver started a DUET with above dude
- the homeless guy was chiming in with his laughs and own clapping...not really timed
- the driver drove way fast down a hill and said "don't try this at home kids"
- he drove like 3 miles an hour down 9th for a good 4 blocks...we thought we were going to get killed or held hostage
- he full-on stopped the bus at the end of miraloma about to get on portola to ask a woman at the front of the bus, "does that cloud look like a dragon?"
- he kept announcing he saw ufos and asked where the mothership was, to which jenz responded "XENU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
- he got off the bus after so much chatter, without saying anything, for a good 2 minutes...did he pee on a corner?
- he chided the passengers for pulling the cord "too early"
- he gave one guy trivia as he loaded on by asking "did you know this bus is 40 feet long????"
- he encouraged and also practiced eavesdropping on everyone else
- if he heard you responding to his crazy ass, he'd try to respond, or try to include himself in the conversation
- whistling. who does that anymore?
- he would randomly say "HOLD ON" really booming
- josci is pretty sure he lied a lot - shorts story did not pan out
- josci also thought he was using the intercom, but no - he was just that loud
- he said some of the same shit so often we wondered if he was a robot and/or was playing a tape recorder
- he talked about the east coast a lot
- scenario: bus driver tapping wheel loudly and whistling, slap head dude going at loudly, homeless dude laughing maniacally and also clapping - we wanted some fuckin' musical action. but sadly, no one broke out into song - quintessential san francisco experience!
- omg. nut jobs, every last one of them.
- though it took us 20 minutes longer than usual to get to our destination, we were thoroughly amused.
