• water, for boiling
    • 6 roma tomatoes
    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp water
    • 1 tsp kelp powder
    • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • pierce the skin of each tomato and dunk them into boiling water in a pot waiting until the skin starts to peel off - then fish the tomatoes and dunk them into ice water
  • create the marinade with: soy sauce, sesame oil, water, kelp powder, and liquid smoke
  • peel the skins off the tomatoes & cut them in half lengthwise, trimming away the seeds - coat them in the marinade and refrigerate for 30'
