- it's called maccheroni
- i didn't like traditional mac n' cheese, i'm sorry america, but that recipe isn't for me
- but... i find a few kind that are actually delicious! and they are vegan and taste a little like the original, please don't be mean, i don't eat dairy and this variation is so much yummy even for kid (i feed my kids' neighbors when they are working, and they eat a loooooooot of veggie with me)
- pasta, maccheroni / rigatoni / conchiglioni
- 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk
- 1 tbsp flour or starch
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- salt
- pepper
- method
- cook the pasta
- heat milk in a saucepan until steaming
- pour the flour and stir in, cooking it
- add some salt, pepper, nooch, pumpkin and mix well; cook until thickened
- add the maccheroni to the sauce and taste it before adding additional flavours (like garlic, chili flakes...)
- for the kids i add some broccoli and basil on top!
