  • ingredients
    • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
    • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
    • 1-2 tbsp water
    • 1/2 cinnamon stick
    • 1 star anise
    • 1 cardamom pod
    • 2 whole cloves
    • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
    • splash of orange juice
    • dash of black pepper
  • making the tea:
    • heat up the water in a pan
    • add in the cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamom pod, cloves, ginger and black pepper
    • let the water cool and strain the chunk of spices
  • how to spread:
    • mash the cranberries, they will leak some juice
    • in the same pot with the tea, add some orange juice, the mashed berries with their juice and coconut sugar
    • heat the pot and cook until the sugar is dissolved
  • it's done! use it over pancakes, waffles, cakes... even for vegan fried chick'n or tofu bites
