- ingredients
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 3 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1-2 tbsp water
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 1 cardamom pod
- 2 whole cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- splash of orange juice
- dash of black pepper
- making the tea:
- heat up the water in a pan
- add in the cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamom pod, cloves, ginger and black pepper
- let the water cool and strain the chunk of spices
- how to spread:
- mash the cranberries, they will leak some juice
- in the same pot with the tea, add some orange juice, the mashed berries with their juice and coconut sugar
- heat the pot and cook until the sugar is dissolved
- it's done! use it over pancakes, waffles, cakes... even for vegan fried chick'n or tofu bites
