• both my mom's parents and my parents were related by marriage before they got married (mom's great uncle on her dad's side was married to her aunt on her mom's side, and mom's great uncle was married to dad's great aunt)
• my dad's aunt (my great aunt) is also my best friend's great great aunt. we didn't know this before we became best friends.
