• stressing about life is overrated. life will come and things that seem big (what college to go to, what career to pursue, how much money I will make) won't matter if I don't let them. that stuff doesn't matter.
• I can control if I am happy or not. whatever is going on in my life, whatever circumstances I am, those things have nothing to do with whether I am happy or not. it depends entirely on my attitude
• same with my self confidence/self esteem/body image. it has nothing to do with what I look like, everything to do with my attitude. also, skinny does not equal healthy. and skinny does not necessarily equal pretty (for me! everyone is beautiful, skinny or not)

Electrons spinning in our tall, fleshy bodies, spinning on our big, wet rock, spinning in our bright, white solar system, spinning in our deep, dark galaxy, spinning in our brain-bustingly big universe.

Listen, this never ending swirly-twirly headtrip can be a bit much sometimes, so we try to place some delicate order on our bumpy, chaotic lives. Yes, we tack calendars on our kitchen cabinets with organized checkerboards of days and weeks and months. We make plans for Saturday night, sleep in on Sunday, and head to work Monday morning. See, now instead of swirling and twirling, we’ve got minutes and hours and days and weeks and months and years...
