• seventh-day adventist church (1845) - william miller; second coming in 1844 (moved from holy place to most holy place and began investigative judgment); saturday is the proper day of worship and rest
• seventh day adventist reform movement (1925) - 2% that remained faithful to original church (not participate in wwi) had to separate and form their own movement
