My Lists

supplies recommended by Rosalee

    • stovetop kettle
    • electric kettle: stainless steel with no plastic parts which touch the water
    • digital scales
    • fine mesh strainer (possibly cheesecloth too)
    • cup strainer: large so the tea is not cramped
    • lid: stops steam escaping and keeps tea warmer as it's brewing
    • teapot: either with strainer or without
    • coffee press: find one without any plastic parts (don't use for coffee, obviously)
    • thermos or dispenser: good for larger amounts of tea, if you want to drink several cups over a longer period, or drinking tea while travelling.
    • mug: get them from op shops, indie ceramics makers, or as souvenirs when travelling.

safety tips

  • mullein: must be strained through cheesecloth to ensure there are no solids at all in the tea
