- Fucking Eddie Maguire. That man is like teflon. He can say any fucking stupid offensive thing he likes and get away with it, and everyone still loves him. Why won't that man just fuck off??
- When people use commas when they should be using stronger punctuation like a semi-colon or even a full stop. Even worse: when they use a comma instead of a colon. I've even seen this in professionally-written articles for a University website recently. It's uncalled-for.
- when you order something online and you get automatically subscribed to the shop's newsletter and they start sending you 3 emails a week before the damned things you've ordered have even arrived.
- Why is my country so backward? Why can't I smoke marijuana legally?? UGH!!
- Social media networks which keep adding more and more advertising in more insidious ways until you stop using them because ugh.
- and why does facebook send me an email when a person I haven't seen in 10 years posts an article on something I don't give a shit about, but is stone-cold silent when people leave birthday greetings on my timeline???
- recipe blog posts which blather on for 3 paragraphs about how much the kids love the recipe etc etc before you get to the actual recipe. Who ever reads all that?
- websites that have a pop-up window with a sign-up to their newsletter which appears straight away before you've even had time to look at the page and decide if you like it or not.
- gergises.
- When something that has been knitted is described as a 'knit scarf' etc.
- When a pin on pinterest describes a crocheted item as 'knitted' and vice versa. Or, as per above, 'knit', is 100 times worse.
- When I hear about a fun-sounding new game, but it doesn't work on iOS7. Bog off!
- Tourists who walk down the street really slowly, and then suddenly stop to have a discussion about where they're going next, right in the middle of the stream of pedestrians, and you have to stop with a jolt so as not to run into them.
- The only craft cafe that stocks my favourite brand of wool is in a really dodge part of town, a few doors down from a gun shop, and I'm too scared to go there.
- As soon as people get on their phones, they walk twice as slow as normal. Has humanity lost the ability to walk and talk at the same time now??!
- When people use the word 'creative' as a noun. e.g. "This marketing idea is great for all the creatives in the room."
- when people describe something as being "super _". It just irks me. Especially when it's in a serious context, like "setting the bar super attainably."
- "gr8". Enough said.
- "ur". anywhere but an SMS message. Even then.
- when you're walking down the street and someone cuts right in front of you and you have to stop suddenly to avoid bumping into them.
- Um, where is Lists of Bests? Has it died? What the fuck?
- When Pinterest bans me from adding any more pins because it thinks I'm a spambot. I'm a human being!! Dammit!!
- A. makes me so stressed when I'm driving the car. He's blind in one eye at the moment, and has no depth perception, and when I'm driving he does that thing of bracing himself against the dashboard as if we're about to crash, when we still have plenty of room. And he tells me to slow down or brake harder! No depth perception!!
- why do they put the horn in the car in a spot where it's so easy to set it off accidentally?
- fruit. when I buy fruit, either it's squishy and off the next day, or it's so under-ripe that I have to wait 2 weeks to eat it. ugh.
- the term cake pops. Things on sticks are one of the most wonderful things in life, and I can't stand it when they're sullied by being called 'pops'.
- what kind of sicko decided to call it a car park??
- when I see a really adorable jumper, and then I remember that I can't wear jumpers because I'd swelter to death. *sighs*
- when my colleague, whose boring stories I have to listen to all day long, clings to me like a limpet at work social functions, thereby meaning I have to listen to her boring stories all over again when I was hoping to socialise with some different people for once.
- why do all k-pops and j-pops only play in Sydney?? The population in Melbourne is just as big, we have better stadiums and we love you even more! wah!
- when you go into a public cafe and you get glared at by scowling hipsters like they own the place just cos you have work-appropriate hair and no visible tattoos (_visible_).
- and why are big Ned Kelly beards in fashion?? They make my face itchy just looking at them!
- The fact that suddenly we seem to be back in the 1980s, post-wise. Since when did it take 8 weeks for a parcel to arrive from Hong Kong?? Not since I was a kid!
- A.'s habit of commenting on what he thinks is going to happen in a movie we're watching. Whether he's right or wrong, either way it spoils it for me.
- When someone sitting opposite me on public transport bends the spine of their book right back! Would you do that to your children!?
- The stupid Real Estate Gnome who filled out our form wrong and made the conveyancer think we owed them an extra $5,000 when we'd actually already paid it!
- When I finally decide I really want to buy something on Etsy, after thinking about it for weeks, and then when I put it in my cart, I find that the postage is prohibitively high and I can't justify buying it. So frustrating!
- The stupid Real Estate Gnome who filled out our form wrong and now we have only 3 days to organise everything instead of 10 days!
- Husband is legally blind at the moment, yet he still gives me instructions when I'm driving and tells me to look out for that cyclist, pole, etc. If he's seen them, then you'd think I would have seen them too! Geez!
- living in the Southern Hemisphere sucks. All the fashion and craft blogs I read go on about winter fashion when I'm sweltering in summer. It's frustrating.
- when I'm in a conversation with a group of people, and I have something valuable to contribute, and there's no break in the conversation so I don't get a chance to say it, and then the conversation moves on to something else and by the time a break comes up, I would seem like a wierdo for mentioning it.
- I see art/craft projects I want to try, and I get really excited about them. But by the time the weekend comes around I'm too tired from working all week to do them. It's so depressing.
- when a PDF craft pattern doesn't have the type of craft in the file name, so I have to open it up to find out so I know which folder to file it in.
- when my husband and I are going out, and he says I have 5 minutes to finish getting ready, then we arrive at the place 20-30 minutes early. It seriously happens all the time. I could have spent some of that time putting on my makeup properly instead of looking like an explosion in a crayon factory! geez!!
- when people say 'addicting' instead of 'addictive'.
- and apparently 'contradicting' instead of 'contradictory' now as well.
- and 'complicating' instead of 'complicated'!! grr!
- when people say something was 'stressing' instead of 'stressful'.
- bad grammar and spelling.
- when people say they have good attention to detail but then you notice lots of little mistakes in their work.
- when people who are 15 years younger than me say, 'ugh, I'm so old!'
- when people who are in their early 20s say, 'now that I'm in my early 20s I feel like I should start using anti-ageing skin care products'.
- actually, that's kinda sad.
- when I think I'm gonna have the whole weekend to myself, then someone calls and wants to do something at the last minute.
- the fact that alcohol not only gives me a hangover these days, but sets off my IBS as well.
- when a cooking show I'm watching has mostly foods I don't like.
- when all morning at work I've been looking forward to surfing the internet at lunchtime, and my colleague wants to chat with me.
- when I'm reading something really interesting on the internet and I have a sudden and un-ignorable urge to go to the loo.
- people that cut you off in traffic.
- people that cut you off really suddenly without using their indicator, and then they give you a thank-you wave as if you'd actually chosen to let them in.
- when someone posts on a forum and they make the text really, really small so that I can't read it and I have to enlarge my screen. Then I realise they've also made the text centred and that's really really annoying because everyone knows that centred text is the hardest to read. When one happens, it's bad, but both at the same time ... ugh!
