- The Book of Soyga -- Allegedly given to Adam by the angels. Contains spells, information on astrology, demonology, etc. Disappeared for over 300 years before TWO copies surfaced simultaneously in 2 different libraries in the U.K.
- Rohonc Codex -- Written in an unknown script that cannot be deciphered.
- The Sangorski Edition of the Rubiyaat of Omar Kayyan -- a deluxe edition of the Rubiyaat created by Francis Sangorski in the early 1900s. Every copy was either destroyed, or people associated with it died.
- The Prophecies of Nostradamus --
- The Ripley Scrollbook -- written by the 15th-century monk George Ripley, it documents his travels in search of alchemical secrets, including the philosopher's stone and secrets to immortality.
- The Popol Vuh -- "The Book of the People" purportedly reveals the secrets of Aztec cosmology and religion. However, it cannot be dated any further back than the 17th century, so its provenance is suspect.
- The Beale Ciphers -- Supposedly the document is a guide to a treasure worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In nearly 200 years, the ciphers have not been cracked. The movie National Treasure is based on this document.
- The Dead Sea Scrolls -- The oldest collection of old testament manuscripts ever discovered. Include many that are not included in today's Bible. Also includes a treasure map detailing treasure in over 60 different locations.
- The Liber Linteus -- A short text written on linen (the only text on linen ever found) which details the history of the Etruscans. The linen was used as wrappings for an Egyptian mummy. If not for being hidden this way, the text would likely have been destroyed by the Romans, conquerors of the Etruscans.
- The Voynich Manuscript -- An undecipherable, hand-written and illustrated codex. Many of the illustrations seem to refer to the natural world and magic.
