• Lemons, greens, leafy vegies, lighter broths/food -- no salads yet please
    • Do not eat raw foods yet as they are cooling, and work against the metabolism-stimulating warming and detox that occurs in the digestive system in Spring.
    • Greens such as leafy vegetables, spring onion, brussels sprouts, and kale.
    • wholegrains and fish.
    • Broth soups like pho.
    • steamed foods and stirfrys.
    • hot/cooked salads.
    • green tea and peppermint tea.
  • Yoga or stretching (for this tight tendon season) and physical activity
    • Spring energy is very invigorating, but can be too frenetic, so do yoga or meditation to calm down as well as loosening muscles.
  • Socialising – the urge increases
    • Make sure you keep a balance between socialising and down-time.
  • Cleansing the body, home and the mind
    • Spring is the best time to work on clearing out the old -- both physically and mentally.
    • Spring clean and de-clutter your house.
    • Do your tax.
  • Letting go of the past and “old stuff” both emotionally and physically. In spring, frustration and anger can come up easily.
    • Be proactive, and be kind to yourself.
    • Lightening the diet and exercising more as the weather gets warmer will make you feel better both physically and emotionally.
