- it negates being a healthy body weight and pushes unhealthy, possibly unsanitary diets
- condones apathetic behavior (I don't care what happens to me) and negative thinking (I can't change, this is who I am and I shouldn't be ashamed of who I am!)
- America is experiencing not only an opioid epidemic but an obesity epidemic as well. Body positivity is not helping cure this epidemic, if anything it is making this worse
