- On Glee in season 2 when Sue's sister Robin dies unexpectedly and the Glee kids help Sue by planning a Willy Wonka funeral because it was Robin's favorite and they sing a beautiful rendition of Pure Imagination while Sue cries.
- In season 8 of One Tree Hill when Quentin goes to the store and is shot and killed and so many people grieve for him.
- In season 8 of Grey's Anatomy when the plane crashes and Lexie is pinned and Sloane professed his love to her, he tells her the plans he has for their future together. He tells her not to die but then she does. And Meredith ugly cries.
