- variety of programs to record things (like listography!)
- glimpses into other people's lives
- online learning like khan academy or crash course
- making friends that last a lifetime
- being able to stay in contact with my irl friends and family during the quarantine
- continuing studies during the quarantine even though my uni is closed
- learning literally any skill that i didn't know growing up, so i don't have to embarrass myself by not knowing it (e.g. how to use a can opener)
- access to books that are beyond copyright years and therefore free to the public - can literally find copies anywhere
- really diverse news sources and ability to construct my own opinion based on that information
- incredible access to art and beautiful photographs that people would have had to travel to see in the past
- i can write something on my computer and then open it on someone else's computer and keep writing. we really don't appreciate google docs type cloud features enough
- same as above except if my house burned down i wouldn't lose like, the Only Copy of All my Photos
