faves (will replay)

faves (for a one-time experience)

liked, will probably not replay

  • cardinal chains
    • really fun concept, i enjoyed the time i spent working through levels!
  • take a seat!
    • very cute short game

not for me

  • within the walls
    • just didn't vibe with it
  • minefinetum
    • minesweeper without the risk of being blown up is simply not for me, though i like the idea
  • numbertron
    • i love that this was made for the sharp mz. incredible that this exists. but i do not have a sharp mz nor do i have the motivation to figure out roms specifically to play this
  • karlson run
    • a fangame for something that i do not know
  • alone with your ghost
    • incredibly cool concept imo, but involves confronting traumas and tbqh i'm never personally up for that
  • my brain is a stick of butter
    • love the idea of "an introspective solo game about life with adhd" however, like. that is already my brain. my brain is already a stick of butter
  • solitaire
    • this sounds beautiful but i'm heeding the warnings of reviewers who said it was potentially triggery for SI in its current state
  • fat self care vol. 1
    • this seems like a great game for someone who needs to focus more on self-care, affirmations, etc. which is not me, though
  • sheepless nights
    • educational math game for kids
  • ceilings
    • lived on my first try, kinda feel like i would have had more fun if it had taken me a few runs
  • ears are burning
    • meditation games are just. not for me lol
  • tribute
    • i feel like there are gonna be a lot of games that are just like "i don't want to play games solely focused on grief." nothing against this type of game but yeah i can't play those
  • remembering david
    • see above re: grief
  • heroic archivist
    • this is so funny and cute but i generally try not to gamify real life things
  • you make the die
    • this is cute! but i do not want to make the die
  • soft
    • exceptionally cute, but in a way that is not for me. definitely the most enjoyable gamebook i've ever read through, though
  • grounding with tea
    • see above preferences re: self-care, irl gamification

multiplayer ttrpgs/larps/modules/classes/etc i would like to run

  • oath of the ambling rose
    • i don't like to play paladins myself, but having someone else play this in a game i ran would actually be great thanks to what is essentially "channel divinity: find plot hook"

multiplayer ttrpgs/larps/modules/classes/etc i would like to play, but not run

multiplayer ttrpgs/larps/modules/classes/etc that aren't for me

  • the colors of magic
    • i loved the premise, the mechanics, and the notes about candy. i think it's one of those games where it's theoretically very fun but in practice requires exactly the right kind of group, and i simply don't have that
  • oath of the even hand
    • again, i don't like to play paladins. obvs it's fine if my players want to in a game i'm running, but this particular build seems like it would cause friction between characters (and consequently players) who tend towards chaotic builds. which is every group i've ever run or played in
