THINGS TO CONTINUE
- enjoying a diverse and abundant selection of entertainment without reaching for consumptive goals (numbered goals like 'read x books in a year' are my enemy here)
- keeping up my habit of writing out my thoughts on media
- curating an incredibly dramatic yet comfortable wardrobe
- redoing my bedroom and making it a pleasant place to live
- ✔ trying out new music frequently instead of falling back into my trap of only listening to the stuff i listened to when i was 20
- keeping habits like flossing and skin care going even when i miss a day or two
- ✔ being less ambitious with my gardening and sticking to what works
NEW THINGS
- save $5 for everything i do on this list and use it to help fund next year's resolutions
- start a new stardew playthrough and only play this one for the entire year
- start a youtube channel
- travel
- ✔ halifax (1-3 times -- j's wedding? visit my cousin? fieldwork?)
- ✔ ottawa (archives trip)
- around the island as much as i can (fieldwork? boat lighting? road trips?)
- fogo (cohort trip)
- brigus? (also cohort trip?)
- ??? gotta take advantage of the whole getting paid for a year with no obligations but writing, though
- seed-bomb some local places with native wildflowers
- take a screenprinting class
- pagan shit
- figure out a wheel of the year that actually makes sense for the environment i live in. why the fuck am i celebrating spring festivals in winter. i'm sorry brigid but imbolc is in april now
- start drawing my oracle deck
- food to make
- sun tea
- hobbit feast
- cheesecake
- ✔ use up/try and toss ALL my little sephora samples
- carve a pumpkin
- read moby dick
- learn to knit and/or crochet
- get memberships at the two arts groups i keep eyeing
- go through steam library and hide all the unplayable garbage i got from bundles so that i'm not constantly scrolling past things i will never play while trying to find something good
- first aid
- renew basic first aid/CPR certification
- learn more specific types of first aid
- dark sky advocacy
- ✔ spend quality time with my cohort before we end up in different places
- start keeping a recipe book of recipes that have associations with people i know
- ie, not just family recipes but the salad my youth group leader used to bring to potlucks back in the day, a's mom's brownies, my classmate's cookie recipe, the dessert my returning officer brought when we worked elections
- also include food wisdoms shared with me (ie, d's observation that cod bites are boneless, so you get more fish for the same price)
