- bald eagle
- feels weird that this was the only one on the list with no notes so: saw briefly overhead in california. majestic as fuck
- crows
- lots of them but shoutout to my crow brothers (the three my mom feeds every day), feather, len, and gar
- we have a new crow brother! i believe mom called him al
- ok she tried al but ultimately started calling him what i thought was augie, but it's apparently OG, short for "other guy"
- feather talks to me now!!! i was walking up to the mailbox and he hopped on the fence nearby and made almost a purring sound and then escorted me home once i'd collected the mail
- one taking a bath in a big puddle by the bus stop!!!!!
- pigeons
- actually i haven't seen any yet this year but i did see a really cute one in a dream so i'm counting it. it was small and round and looked like it would fit nicely in my cupped hands
- apparently this is a good omen so i will certainly take it over the endless anxiety dreams of late
- important update: i have now seen like a hundred pigeons
- giant flock near the old taxi stand jubilantly tossing garbage into the air as they looked for tasty trash
- one extremely beautiful pigeon in ottawa who was extremely mad about my paltry offerings of pretzels
- ducks
- the huuuuuuge flock at burton's pond. they seemed a little mad at me for daring to walk on the sidewalk near them and not giving them offerings
- seagulls
- absolutely wilding before the big blizzard in march. circling the computer science building like vultures
- three fucking GIANT ones with the flock of pigeons at the old taxi stand i mentioned above. eat well large kings
- one carrying a crab in its beak at the harbour
- starlings
- they have become brazen and squawk at us for food when the crows are getting fed
- my next door neighbor loves them and so he crushes up peanuts to make it easier for their little beaks to carry them ;____;
- real cute one hopping away from me. i love their little tails
- yellow warbler
- saw it from the bathroom window and was like ??? there's a tennis ball on the shed roof? but holy shit no. no. it was simply the roundest bird
- sparrows
- my little friends every time i had coffee in the mornings outside the cafe :')
- ?? little hoppy birds by the rocks at the harbour
- double-crested cormorant
- chilling on a rock in the harbor, saw with j and b, very cool!
- mysterious woodpecker
- ???? wing coloration of a northern flicker but the red was in the wrong place? obsessed. gone through lists of woodpeckers to find it but simply cannot
