• Those Gentle Slopes that Lead to Hell by Severus_divides_into_H (Kuroshitsuji, SebaCiel); one of my favorites and the best fanfic of the fandom. The way the characters are written is so canon and perfect that it would be easy to mistake some parts and conversations of the fic with the actual series. It's base on the anime, not the manga. Including all the seasons and the movie. But as of now it's still on S1. Fair warning for obvious reasons but it doesn't have NSFW ♡ ♥

Now that I did, I'm understanding better. Updated: I am finished! It's kind of a sequel to "the measure of the year" since the author used facts from it as the foundation for their past lives. I really liked how Vinculus was finally acknowledge as a person and not just a drunk and ribald (new word that I learned reading this). That is something that always bothered me in the book and in the subsequent fanfics I read, it's good to see a change for once. Also, the end is so fucking good *chef kiss* ♡ ♥

The plot, the characters, the themes, the writing and the end; aaah, so fucking good. One of my favorites definitely. I don't know anything about Mindhunter but now thanks to this author I want to watch the show and read everything else that they have written ♡ ♥

• Of the Northmost Winds and Skies |PODFIC| by SANTAtheGREY; written by xxiiyu (RotG & HTTYD crossover, HiJack); this is a delight! The narrator does such a good job at imitating everyone accents that I know who is talking just with hearing them. Specially with Hiccup and Jack , I can almost believe that the actors are talking. And the story! OMG, I'm just loving every moment. I really like that Jamie and Baby Tooth are there with Jack, all the other HiJack fics I have read are with Jack always alone. The podfic is like 40 hours long so I have something to entertain me for a while. Updated: This was by far the most amazing and beautiful fic I have had the pleasure of listening. It made me laugh, dream, love, gasp in surprise, squeal, cry and most of all, happy. I haven't been this happy in a while and even now, 20 minutes later I'm still fighting back my tears because, even though it hurted me to finish it, at the same time, I feel so full of life. A really amazing and beautiful story, totally worth the time and gosh, I want to give the narrator a big hug because what he did it's an herculean effort and they did it fantastically ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
• The Golden Light |PODFIC| by SANTAtheGREY, written by alkaline_frog (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack. OTNWAS spinoff); I have once again cry over this. It takes place in the future, with Jamie almost being 19 and taller than Hiccup and Jack. A really good spinoff! I love the part where Hiccup appears and he and Jack just get lost in each other eyes while Jamie is watching them uncomfortable from the side lol Also, the way Hiccup disintegrates with the wind is so cool. I want to make an animation of the whole scene!
• The Lights of Avalon |PODFIC| by SANTAtheGREY, written by alkaline_frog (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack. AuArthuriana); the writer also draws and the prologue (which is a comic, take a look) is what got me back into HiJack after I found it accidentally on Tumblr. It makes me cry everytime I read it, it's kind of embarrasing. I think is really beautiful and bittesweet. It makes me feel. Updated: I have finished listening to all the 9 chapters available, I hope we'll get a new one soon because we were left at such a good part!
• North of the Wind, West of the Wilds by spirallings (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack. AuFairy Tale); soft, slow-paced and tender. The storytelling is fantastic, everything is described in such a vivid way you can see it clearly. But, I didn't notice that isn't complete, the last update was in 2016 :'c ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
• Snow-Crested Shrines by turkeyvultureinavest (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); another good one! In this Jack doesn't have to travel through time to meet the Hooligans and after saving Hiccup from a blizzard, the village builds a shrine for him. Mostly fluff which I appreciated, I think I needed a break from angst.
• If You Ever Find Me by twinafom (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack) ; this one has some elements that I'm liking a lot. A magical compass, Jack was honest about who he was for once pretty quickly into the story, Hiccup is the one that is in danger and time-travel is more of a plot device than it usually is. Also the writer is an amazing artist (my custom keyboard is from one of their pieces) and some chapters have art.
• Muscle Memory by galaxypizza (Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, Spiderdads); I was a fan of these two even before watching the movie but now that I finally did that I can read all the fanfics I want. This is a good one, I think they handle Miguel grief and PTSD pretty well and it's cute to watch him with Mayday and Peter.
• Invisible To All But You by forkdotjpg (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); so good and cute! The idea is refreshing. It takes place before the events of the first movie but also a few years later than the movie. Hiccup is 17 and he finds Jack (he's more uncanny in this one, with pointy ears and eyes almost white) trapped in the woods at the end of winter. After that they form a bond (they are too cute) and Jack helps Hiccup to change his point of view of dragons. Toothless hasn't appeared yet so it's interesting to see Hiccup taming dragons without him as the cause and Jack being the fist person to connect with him. The author also is an artist and the fic has some really cute art. Update: I left a comment and the author replied and posted a new chapter. It was so good, is my favorite ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
• Son of a Witch by twiafom (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); 10/10 like, all the praise. The plot is fucking amazing, like, wow? I can't believe is not more popular! The idea behind everything got me so invested. Why the engagement was made in the first place, how everything starts moving, Astrid and Hiccup are still kind of a thing (but not much) and it's handle well, the contract, Jack with a cloat of black feathers (a fact really important, I know), the magic and how they sing or hum to use it, the developing feelings of the loverboys- Ughafffhhafn, I'm in love. Also, beatiful art by the author ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
• Stranded on the Sealand by AriesOnMars (HTTYD, DagCup, Part 1 How to Train Your Berserker); I'm curious to see how it develops in the other two parts

• Walk of the Shameless by a_gay_poster (Naruto, GaaLee); two other ships in this one and it was so funny.
• Changes by thisgirlsays22 (The Witcher, Geraskier) ; Jaskier is transformed into a woman and after seeing his reflection he goes "holy shit, I'm a goddess! " also they are trying to find a cure. One of the tags is "Jaskier has a crush on himself bless". Really funny and cute at the end.
• The Burning Cold by seafoam_dew (baisley) (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); I read it when it was still being updated. Funny thing is, I didn't remember anything about it, not even that I read it but now that I'm reading it again I had one of the scenes still very present in my mind. I just didn't remember which fic it was from. This one it's very promising, one of the few with a more adult narrative. I wish it would be continue but it's on hiatus ♡ ♥
• Times Entangled by AntiqueGinger, BlakeBlue (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack. Spin-Off of AntiqueGinger's fic, Times Touch); I like it more than Times Touch. I hope they'll post another chapter
• A House Built by sunflowerwonder (Homestuck, DirkJake, royalty. Part 1 of A House Built, and Other Royal Fuckups); I suddely had the urge of reread this series and I did it. It is still one of my favorites from all the Homestcuk fanfics I've read (which are way too much) and I'm glad to find with this rereading that still holds true. The first part ends kind of sad but in the second part things change. Also, I just love how Dirk is written here ♡ ♥
• A Spark, A Flame, A Fire by callmearcturus (Homestuck, DirkJake, royalty. Part 2 of A House Built, and Other Royal Fuckups); everything written by this author is fantastic and this one is no exception. I love how the twins are so lovable and how Jake gets to care for the Stridelondes so much by the end of the fic. And once again, I really like this Dirk. All the political drama is also amazing. I was gasping once again when the conflict started even though I remembered how it went. It's just that good! ♡ ♥
• Branching Scars by Alterkaetion (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); it's a PWP! I find it funny that this is actually the first smut I have read of these two. I have read so many fics of them and this is the only one with porn that I've encountered. Yes, I know, super rare. And it's actually good, really in character. The author really knows to write their smut
• Gambling with Borrowed Time by Not_the_Rat_King (Death Note, LawLight); I got nostalgic and searched for a few LawLight fics

• That feeling of apricity by CopicsForNameless (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); really long but not as much as OTNMWAS. It is inspired by it but it's also a lot different. The writing is full of misspellings and errors but once you get used to that it's actually a really amazing fic. I think it tackles some things better than OTNWAS (yes, I'm being blasphemous) and it has really amazing moments. Another thing that I liked about it is how Sophie was included ♡ ♥
• Time and Transmutations by Preelikeswriting (FMA, Harry Potter crossover. Part 3 Through the Gate series); new chapter! It was so good omg ♡ ♥
• Invisible To All But You by forkdotjpg (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); new chapter! I'm really liking this fic a lot ♡ ♥
• On the Road of the Aurora Borealis by BlakeBlue (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack), Jack is greek and arrives at Berk with trader Johan. He doesn't understand the language and he had a really awful experience with other vikings so he is weary of anyone. I really like how Hiccup reacted to the intense look Jack gave him when they met (because he didn't understand what he said). He's awkward, self-conscious and cute, Jack is going to fall hard. I'm waiting for a new chapter ♡ ♥
• salvage by evanescent_jasmine (Pathologic, Burakhovsky. Time travel, the characters are aware of game mechanics. Saving, at least and starting at another saved point); I have just discovered (after reading this fic a while ago) that Ice Pick Lodge released news about how the Bachelor route is going to be and this fic is practically it. I'm flipping out because it's so good omg. I can't wait for the next chapter ♡ ♥
• Metamorphoses by Radioluminescence (Pathologic, Burakhovsky); this has an interesting premise! It takes place a few years before the the game and it has Artemy arriving to his house and finding that his father and the Kains have Daniil captive. They are turning him into a vessel for Simon. I want to see if Artemy will eventually help the bachelor escape
• Boiling blood line by DI_Spector (Pathologic, Burakhovsky);
• The Long Road by Dire_Kumori (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); this is so good! It takes place during Riders of Berk but rewrites all the episodes and makes them better and more darker imo. It's a good thing I'm watching the series at the moment. For now it's only on ep. 17 and the romance is one sided. I don't know if the author plans on rewriting all the series (RoB, DoB, RttE) and then getting to the second movie or whatever, but if the title is any indication, maybe they will. I wonder when Jack would start reciprocating Hiccup's feelings. Another thing that I really love is how Baby Tooth became a Frost Fairy and she has a deeper connection with Jack for that reason, and how in exchange he got the Gift of Tonges and can understand any language, even dragonese. Oh! That's also another cool thing of the fic, the way the dragons talk. It fits, is more animal-like than how, for example, they talk in Times Touch (I didn't like it much) ♡ ♥
• And the day starts anew by DetroitBabe (Pathologic, time loop)
• Chief's Night Off by Alterkaetion (RotG, HTTYD crossover, HiJack); another PWP of the author. It has an interesting thing though. Hiccup managed to convince the council to change the status quo of Berk. He proposed the idea of choosing someone else to share the Chieftain duties with, and when they accepted this, Berk put it to vote and Astrid was chosen (obviously, who else is better for that). I really like this take on the whole Chief thing. I have never seen someone change the amount of responsibility that Hiccup gets on him by being Chief, even less so that he actually got to made a bit of a democracy. That's cool, it would be cooler to see it implemented by other authors. As for Jack, he is berkian and just a shepherd, betrothed to Hiccup.

• Silver Glass by BlossomsintheMist (Marvel, Stony, Part 2 Relativistic Heat Conduction); I read the first part like almost ten years ago and I don't remember if another part existed at the time. Probably not, because as I said, I read this a long time ago lol But it was so good that I still remember a lot and still get sad when I start thinking about it. It was good to read this part, it's like it soothed a bit of my pain. Seeing that Steve and his Tony got to meet again after everything, how peaceful they are and how much they love each other. Reading Tony call himm "Windhead" and Steve later call him "Shellhead"- I'm just really happy, sad and nostalgic. I used to be on the Stony fandom a lot. I still am but since I don't like the movies anymore and don't watch the new ones I have only read a few since This fic now has a podfic btw. Someday I will listen to it
