adam and eve:

• 1: god created the earth and the animals
• 2: god created adam and eve
• 3: the serpent tells eve to eat from the tree of good and evil. god punishes them by cursing them and the serpent
• 4: eve births cain and abel. cain kills abel and is banished by god but given a mark so that nobody can kill him
• 5: eve births seth. a descendant of seth is noah.

noah and the flood:

• 6: nephilims (the strong sons of gods and human women) are born. god regrets creating humans and plans the flood, but tells noah to build an ark for his family and 2 of each animal
• 7: it rains for 40 days and nights: the flood.
• 8: noah sends out birds and realizes that the flood is over. he sacrifices animals for god.
• 9: god tells noah that the rainbow is a sign of his promise to never flood the earth again
• 10: nations form
• 11: humans are able to build a tall tower (tower of babel), and god confuses their language for it. ('babel' = confused)
• 12: abram (abraham) (noah's grandson) and his wife sarai (sarah)
