• a lot of hyperbole and "everybody clapped" moments; this is where the tumblr narrative style comes from.
• I hate Dumbledore's character arc
• Snape could have been a great antihero
  • seriously, so great. we could have had a cantankerous, moody young teacher who acts as quiet (sometimes begrudging) guardian to his old school friend's son and is often mistakenly framed by said son as the villain. sometimes he almost is that character, but no, he's just a nasty, odious shit.
• Alan Rickman and Tom Felton are the only reasons people like their characters
• Colin and Dennis are weird names for children in the 90s
• 'My own brother, Aberforth, was prosecuted for practising inappropriate charms on a goat'

the ugly

• JK Rowling is a fatphobe. the way she treated Dudley's weight is really distressing
• having to spend this whole experience pretending terf and general human shit-fest didn't bring these stories into existence
