.ᐟ.ᐟ - all of these are brand new watches. i spent way too much time (re)watching shows. here are my takes for each new one ⤸

꒰💭꒱ — my takes. (may include spoilers)

• severance — pure masterpiece <3.. i was reluctant to start it, because for some reason i assumed it was a workplace drama. i was positively shocked to find out it is not. the concept, the characters, the dialogue.. the e v e r y t h i n g is perfect. am in love with helly r. actually obsessed w her. have rewatched it multiple times. it has to be the best show i’ve seen this year, or possibly ever!!
• the rookie — normally i wouldn’t choose to watch, but friends from discord really praised it, so i gave it a try. and i really love it! it’s one of the best cop shows i’ve seen (i haven’t seen that many though). it reminds me of b99, just 100 times crazier. lucy is my fave! and i can’t wait for the new season in january.
• pluribus — initially i watched around 1-2 episodes but wasn’t hooked, so i dropped it. but kept seeing positive reviews on socials so gave it another try. i love that the main character is a lesbian as well. the show has so many layers and touches a really philosophical subject that you could ponder about and analyze everything. it’s quite a masterpiece. i adore zosia!
• yellowjackets — i tried watching it a couple of years ago, but the main theme was so disturbing to me i didn’t get past the 1st episode. i gave it another try because of discord friends again.. i was hooked after like .. two episodes. the disturbing theme i mentioned above eventually didn’t bother me much anymore. at first i thought it’s a horror/paranormal type of show until i realized it’s just about how trauma affects people. it’s a really good show to write about and analyze.
• good american family — i didn’t really like this one. it felt massively uncomfortable watching, i’m not sure why i continued despite that. ellen pompeo reminds me of meredith grey and nothing more, so that was not very convincing to me.
• the hunting wives — honestly, i only watched because it has lesbians. but it wasn’t as good. a bit disappointing even.
• hacks — this one also has to be one of my favs of the year. i was in love with hannah’s performance and i’m glad she got an emmy for it. plus.. once again this one had lots of gays, which is partly why i chose to watch it.
• million dollar secret — normally i don’t watch reality tv, but this one was so so great. highly entertaining and a tad nerve wrecking. i binged it in one go. am looking forward to season two!
